not necessary but safer and surely worth it in the long run. an extra 45 now, or 150 later. think about that. but have you bought these parts yet? if so, how is it an extra 45?

I have a hard time not recommending the E4300 over the Pentium D. It is only a few more dollars. By Q3 you'll be waiting for the next next big thing out.

And, personally I'd get the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 over that one, but it is your computer :D

i really have to agree. um, i'm not familiar with whether or not you already made a thread for a parts checklist, but WHY IN THE WORLD would you go with a p4 lol go with a c2d you will NEVER EVER regret it

he is going with that to hold him off until the Q6600 price drops

You get the picture, why would I spend $40 on something I'm going to sell in a few months anyway.

The 520W version is fine, although not a good choice if SLI is a possibility.

No worries I'm not going SLI, I'll just upgrade to a new card when the time comes. Even if I do I'll just get a new PSU.

I'm not going to be overclocking so their goes one of it's major strong points. With the Asus I have the possibilty of SLI in the future.

EDIT: Never Mind I think I'll get the 620 watt corsair.
