Final Final Build... What other stuff do I need (Screws, Cables, etc.)?

Hello,

Under some unfortunate circumstances my build has been delayed for weeks, and what's even suckier is that the graphics card I wanted to get went out of stock during that time! Anyway, I have my final list done and I plan to order it now and put it together next Saturday (I only have time during the weekend). My question is, what else do I need (tools, cables, screws, etc.)? I only have a screw driver handy so if I need anything I will have to order from the internet as well. If I don't have all the stuff with me I will have to wait another week, possibly two, so I really wish to get it done this weekend. Thank you for your help.

Good build but the GPU is a deal breaker
You need screwdrivers

Thanks for the card suggestion, but this is a build for my home recording rig, and I am looking for a card with no fan and dual dvi ports. Will I need any cables for the card, hdd, and the CD drive? Also, will I need special screws or will they come with the parts?

the case and motherboard should come with all the screws you need. and you should just be able to use a Phillips head screwdriver for most everything.

all the cables you need will be included as well.

You will also need SATA cables for both hard drives and your Samsung DVD+RW since all are OEM. I suggest ordering the 24 inch ones as then you will know they are long enough...monoprice.com has them for a couple bucks and cheap 3 day shipping.

all my OEM stuff came with the proper cables. even my open box dvd drive had cables with it. not sure with the things he picked out though, may want to buy cables to be on the safe side.

I have 2 of the same DVD-RWs from Newegg and no cables or software whatsoever. Also my OEM WD Hard drive also didn't have anything included. Since he stated he might not get to build for a while if he doesn't haven't everything, I highly suggest spending the less than $10 bucks and being prepared.

The motherboard he is ordering comes with all the cables he'll need. Don't worry about wasting any more money than you have to. As stated before you'll be good with a phillips screwdriver and your case and mobo will come with all the screws you'll need. The only thing you might would want to spend any money on would be straps or regular zip ties for cable management but you can get those from any store that sales cables just about (i.e. Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, K-Mart, Target) or any old hardware store for no more than a dollar or two.

Nothing I've ever ordered OEM has come with anything but the exact item, as it states:
What are the differences between the OEM and retail versions of a product?

Retail versions may come with additional accessories, retail packaging, bundled software and warranty coverage. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), White Box and Brown Box versions include the product and sometimes the drivers, but not much else. They are packaged generically and do not include software. OEM products are best-suited for system builders who don't require documentation or bundled accessories.

This is why I don't buy OEM Motherboards, because Retail Mobo's come with all your cables.
Graphics cards, opticals, cpu's, hard drives, all acceptable for OEM to me. =D
