FINAL PC Build

Ok I posted a few days ago wondering if my build was ok, but they sold out of two of it's components so I had to re-pick the parts to stay in budget.

CD Drive

HDD

Monitor

Mobo

PSU

GPU/OS

CPU/RAM

Case is free, and I received money for the Monitor too. Budget for the actual computer is 700, which I am barely under after rebates. Is this set-up fine?

for about 40 more bucks you could get a motherboard that supports ddr3 and 4gb of ddr3 memory

The only reason I was going to settle for the mobo I chose was because it can unlock the extra cores on my processor. In your opinion should I unlock it and risk it having a faulty core or just get the ddr3 board?

^Is there something in that price range that can support ddr3 and crossfire^

from what ive read on newegg people say that they unlock their 3rd and 4th cores with boards that have SB750 as south bridge. The mobo i linked u to has that chipset so u will most likely be able to unlock them although it depends on cpu. Lets hope you get a lucky one :) I just noticed that your budget is 700 bucks so with that motherboard and ddr3 ram it will be way over your budget. But what im thinking is that you use windows 7 and not pay for vista. That would save you 80 bucks and then you would be good i think.

There is no most likely, it is highly rare that you will unlock the cpu with a new cpu.

Nice build man, really seems like a piece of work! Are you saying that this is your last computer build, or this is the final on this computer build. If it's the first one, don't stop.

This is my very first one, my friends going to help me put it together, I'm going to forget about DDR3 at the moment due to budget issues. I'd rather have Crossfire support atm rather than DDR3 support

Edit: ^This is my first build, and the final selection of parts for it :P^
