Hey all, I have decided a few that I am going to buy, now I need your opinions on whcih of these "sets" I should get.

First - Laptop cooling pad

or

or

one of the Targus
http://www.targus.com/us/accessories_cooling.asp

Reason I'm wondering is, if they can cover a 17" laptop, and It doesn't say the size of the pad, thus if one is smaller, it may be able to have better air flow, or maybe I'm wrong? Whats your take? Also I dont know if it blows out air or sucks it in, because I am running a m9540 alienware.

Second - Keyboard/Mouse
Logitech G11 and G5

or

Razer Lycosa and lachesis

Third - Mousepad

Should I get the plastic kind or the rubber kind? and how come?

Fourth - lastly my security

Kaspersky online security 7.0

or

AVG online security 8.0

Whats the difference between the free software of both companies and the ones that are purchaseable?

That would be all, thanks for reviewing and please post honest opinions.
Thanks alot!

It prob doesnt even matter what cooling pad you get. I do not know what mouse. Also, the mouse pad does not really matter. they both work the same.

Anyone know? or have experiences with any of these?

Also, should I get logitech stereo for my laptop or a tv stereo for my aquos? I will most likely use them equally, not sure which tho. I'll prolly play games more on laptop tho, and sometimes my t.v.
Advise?

thank you

It's your choice for the cooling pad.

Mouse/Keyboard - I'm a Logitech fan, so I'd go with the G11 and the G5.

As far as a mousepad goes, I have a plastic one, but mostly for looks (The Blue LED's) and I hate the scratching of my mouse on it, so I have a normal mouse pad on top of it. I especially don't wana scratch the bottom of my new Logitech MX Revolution :D

And for security, just download Avast!. You don't really need internet security.

Hm interesting. Also, is there REALLY a difference between wireless and non wireless? I mean i highly doubt g7 would be considered bad. In most cases I would believe is just as good as a wireless or possibly better. So my question is, I like wireless because of less cables plus I can use it anywhere around my room (I sometimes use my t.v as my gaming monitor). So opinions? And if I decide to get g7, what would be the best wireless keyboard from logitech? And if I use g7, would it allow me to use it about 4 feet away? Thank you

Second, what cooling pad should I get? Im stuck between all of them :/ I dont want a cheap cooling pad, but I also dont need an expensive $100 cooling pad. Plus I need one suitable for my alienware m9750, but I can't find out where the fan is located (whethere it blows it out or brings it in - if anyone can confirm, thank you)

Third, whats the difference between online security that you d/l for free from avg and the one you buy from avg? And is avast all I need? even from the worst posible virus/hackers?

Thank you very much.

It should be fine with a 17" laptop, this is what one of the reviews said:

Other Thoughts: It has 2 USB ports. Use one for power and the other one is to replace the port you just lost. it's somewhat big. It is more suited for 17" Laptop.

I would prefer a mix actually, the Logitech G11 (or G15 if you can afford it), but the Razer mouse.

Third - Mousepad

Plastic. It's suppose to be better with laser mice then rubber, and is easier to glide your mouse across.

Fourth - lastly my security

Kaspersky online security 7.0

or

AVG online security 8.0

Personally I would use AVG Free 8.0, I've used it for a while now and it's found all the viruses and spyware that have tried to infect my system.

I have the Targus Chillpad with 4 USB ports, it's loud but it does the job. My laptop doesn't get hot at all when I'm playing WoW for hours on end. Some people don't like it though because it isn't slanted like the Antec ones you also are considering. That's probably the only draw back to the Targus Chillmat, it makes a level keyboard.

I don't have any experience with any of the other items. If I were to make an opinion though, I'd stick with Logitech. I've had pretty good luck with their products over the years.

am I too late? I have the razer deathadder I just bought and i love it. Doesnt skip a beat. BOught a G15 and Cyborg Saitek and decided to choose the Cyborg since it looks kewler imo. (G15 LCD screen is useless since I never look at keyboard when im gaming and i dont need to know what song im playing :P) plus its kinda small and the LEDs on the cyborg are much stronger than on G15 and have dif color settings as well as a touch screen along the top. LED isolated areas are kewl as well. IDK if i helped or not but I just wanted to share :). I use AVG free and being the dirty boy I am I have not getten a virus of any sorts.
