Final Thread (I think): Which camera?

Well, it has Live-View but I would personally get the D60 instead. I honestly don't think you would need Live-View, I think it is overrated.

Alright, that settled it. We went and bought the D60 with two non VR lenses one 18-55 and another 55-200, i'll be having a field day with it.

Yeah i really like it so far, it's a great camera.

No we just got one camera with 2 lenses to see how it goes, i still haave to wait a little until i get mine but for now we'll just be sharing. And my dad also said that we mite get a macro lens eventually.

Not sure what the prices are like in canada, but have you taken a look at the Canon T1i? Its basically an improved model of the Xsi(Which is also an excellent camera for the price).

You are quite right..

The T1i is a ridiculously good camera, loaded with features, and very capable for a bang-on price!--I mean, 15.1mp, 3" lcd, 3.5fps, live-view, and DIGIC4 processor.

Look for the T1i 'Body-Only' and skip the shitty 18-55mm kit lens.. Grab yourself Canon's EF 100mm F/2.8 lens and you hit the ground running...real fast!

Depending where you live, you may be able to get the T1i kit, which is the camera, battery grip, uv filter, battery, and canon bag! Fabulous deal!

Get the D3000... I'm planning on getting one when they're released.

EDIT: Nevermind that, just saw that you got the D60. Good choice.
