How can I do a search for a specific file type in vista. I put apicture somewhere and cant find it. In 8 you used to type *.bmp etc how do you do it in vista?

click the start button and start typing
it will search indexed folders. for a more specific search go in explorer and browse to a file such as "User" and type in the top right corner
