Find me a monitor :) 500$ limit

Im buying a laptop that i can hook up to a larger monitor when im at home i got 500$ on the spot to spend on the monitor so remember taxes... I also dont have to spend all that money on a monitor so dont feel it all has to be spent (find a good deal lol) :)

Also it has to be form futureshop becuase i got a gift card there :)

PS. how do i hook my laptop up to the monitor (are there any extra equipment that ill need??
 
I agree with the above choice, samsung is one of the best brands as far as 'bang for the buck'. IMO they offer more than fair prices for similar monitors and have a superior product to those in similar price ranges.
 
What connection does your laptop have?

VGA, DVI?

Usually VGA is blue, and DVI is white. Most likely you have a VGA port.
 
the monitor comes with the cord. the problem is if the monitor is dvi only and your laptop only have vga then you will need converters.
