Finger print reader?

I have kind of been interested in getting a thumb print reader for my new computer setup, but wanted to know a little more about them because it seems they are a little hard to find. Will it let me save emails and passwords according to user? and will it let me log out and into another account with it? Also, Im running Vista and will it work with that?

Ive seen the microsoft onebut it got less than stellar reviews. Also, they have a keyboard that has one built into it but again, less than stellar reviews. Anyone use one and your opinions?
 
I had the Microsoft fingerprint reader and it lets you sign into Windows using it, and when you are at a certain website for instance, you can have it scan your finger and it will enter your password.

I'm not sure if it works with Vista or not, since I had mine a long time ago.
 
I paid about $50 back in the day, and although it was cool, I was the only one that used the PC so it was pretty pointless for me.
