well i finished my build today after getting my cpu in the mail. i could not get xp to load using a raid1 set up though,i went into bios and set ide controller to raid ad went and set up the raid fine. then changed boot to cd and tried to install xp, pressed f6 when prompted to load raid drivers and when i loaded the floppy in and pressed ok it would spool up for 20 secs and then prompt me to insert disc and press enter, it would keep doing this until i esced. after i esced xp continued loading and woud stop, saying there is a harware error and cannot continue, tried 5 times, even made 3 diff. boot discs, nothing, almost like the floppy needs a driver to work? well i went back to bios and changed ide controller back to ide and windows xp is now loading further than i ever got before, it has 35 mins to go, so now what are my options as far as raid after ive loaded xp onto a drive? will i have to reload xp to run raid?
