back in october i posted , regarding a problem i was having with my firewire , using adobe premiere 6.5. basically, the computer was somehow destroying the internal cards in my cannon xl1 camera(cannon kindly replaced the card twice for me) i had the firewire card replaced in the pc, and gingerly decided to try my Panasonic gs70, this worked well and i thought i had got over the problem, and that somehow the fault had been with the xl1, but I have recently needed to start on a new editing project, and too my amazement premiere told me that this camera too, was now offline, i have double checked it with another firewire camera and it is not working.
i will take it into panasonic and get it fixed, but im too afraid to use it again with my present set-up. i can once again re-place the firewire card and put it into a different slot,but this may not resolve the problem, Hairy Lee was very helpfull with several suggestions, but now im fishing around for someone whos had direct experience with this problem....hope someone can be of help ,thanks walter.
