Firefox acting weird after update

The other day i was prompted to update firefox to version 3.5.2 from 3.0.2
After i did this and restarted my computer, i am getting an error everytime i run firefox, from shortcuts or wherever. After the error, it loads normally and everything works.

This is the error:
firefox.exe - Entry Point Not Found
"The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could bot be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll"

Any ideas?

1) Search the Firefox folder for msvcrt.dll
2) Rename the file to whatever.dll

- Test and see if this works.

If not:
Download the file from a free DLL site and paste it into the folder where the original was found i.e C:\Program Files\Firefox\

-Test and see if this works.

Good luck.

In addition, this is a somewhat common Vista problem not a Firefox issue. At least, I've only heard of this happening on Vistas.

Ok here's one for you...
Find and delete dwmapi.dll from %root%/windows/system32.

If it's not there check your firefox folder... I bet this will do it.
:D Let me know.

Because what you described was a vista problem and there are a lot of downloads these days that expect or anticipate you'll be using vista so sometimes even though you have XP, the installer thinks it's Vista and will install stupid Vista files. An error in installation basically. Also, I use google like nobody's business and nearly 85-90% of all computer software or non-hardware issues can be solved with a Google search. I'm no pro, I just know how to use Google flawlessly and with each problem I help solve, I learn a bit more and reference the solutions for the future.
