I hear a lot about firefox being faster than other browsers such as IE. What does this mean exactly?

Does it make your internet faster or does it just make the pages load faster? I would think it would be the latter of the two.

I am running IE7 on a 45kbs internet speed; yes, its that slow:mad:. Would I notice a difference in my page load time if I swiched over to FF? Are there any other reasons I should swich?

I don't know about faster. ive used for several years now and love it. they say its safer. One thing for sure. they have the best pluggins. also get updated often. Install then run this. then post the results using the same server.
run IE then the link. then firefox and link.

use same server for both.

I have 540kb/s - Firefox , and 580kb/s in Internet Explorer. I don't feel any difference.

If you have numerous add-ons, plug-ins, etc., you may be getting slowed down.

One more thing to keep in mind when using speedtest is you may get slightly different results on multiple tests even if you use the same server and browser. It is better to do several tests and average the results.
