Firefox Freezes

I think I narrowed my problem down to Firefox. I've been having problems with my computer freezing while doing simple tasks, but not during stressing ones. I finally realized that it was only freezing (causing me to restart) in Firefox.
Does anyone know why Firefox would trigger my PC to frequently freeze? I've tried reinstalling, and when I looked from old to new folder, I noticed a few differences, and the freezes stopped for a bit, but now they are back.

after uninstalling firefox, go to programs file and delete the whole firefox folder. restart computer then try installing firefox again. this may work.
