Firefox isnt showing downloads

Whenever i download something, it doesn't show up in the downloads list. The download completes just fine, i just cant see its progress and i cant see past downloads. Ive double checked in optionsthat it "Remembers what ive downloaded"

Is this a quick fix or should i just reinstall firefox?
 
Same thing happened to me, i cant fix it, reinstalling doesnt help... and later on, the dowloads dont work. Or it did that with 1.5. I had to delete all my firefox related stuff to get it to work again with my new installation. I currently cant see mine either, i just go to the desktop to see them.
 
I just posted about this problem. having the same trouble. hopefully this thread will get more response than mine did. I would like to know the solution
