just reinstall it. and btw, firefox is much more stable and secure then IE. Keep using it.

theres not much differnce bewteen firefox and internet explorer and i think internet explorere is more stable cause you look at how many times firefox has new updated versions of it all the time and internet explorere doesnt just once in awhile. now which one is more stable and secure

(Devil's advocate: )You could look at it the other way and say the Firefox is staying current... and keeping their browser more up-to-date and secure than IE.

Anyway, I use IE and will not change. I leave the security to my hardware and software firewall.. my anti-virus and ad/spy/malware software, not my browser...

i did take it off and put it back on but i did not restart my computer after removing it before i downloaded it again. should i uninstall and restart or does it matter?

it's because Firefox developers don't share Microsofts sense of immortality. They choose to fix problems as they arrise instead of waiting for enough to make a 2 gb service pack or waiting for an explot to cripple enough systems that people start to complain.

There is something I don't trust about an internet browser that is integrated into an operating system. It's like building a wall around your house and putting a poorly guarded tunnel that runs from outside your front door to your bedroom.

I had same problems after installing firefox( installed it after seeing the hype firefox got recently!) tried reinstalling 2 times. same problem again. switched back to IE. IE works fine for me and security depends on firewall, avirus etc.. as SFR said

vortmax - i agree with you whole-heartedly.
firefox is awesome. and from what i always hear about all the updates and everything (as i have not used it for long) it seems like the designers of it actually care about the people using it, thus creating the updates and everything
i know from experience microsoft does not care about anyone or anything but money
they have virtually no tech support that is actually free. and if you did not go to a store or something, and pay full price for the OS, like say it came on your computer, they don't care. they tell you to call your manufacturer.
i have had people call in and talk to me, that have just gotten off the phone with microsoft. and they have forgotten their password for windows, or there is a missing dll file, and microsoft found out that it was installed with their computer, told the people, not our problem, call them
microsoft is almost as bad as AOL in my opinion. aol (shiver)
