Im at work with limited user access to my PC. I was able to install Firefox into a folder where I have full access (My Docs) and therefore I am able to install plugins, extensions etc.
My company I work for doesnt currently have Flash 8 Installed, so I am unable to play most game on free websites. Firefox was my solution.
Right away when I started playing some games I noticed a difference in speeds from IE to Firefox. (some games worked in both IE and FF [Flash 7]).
Now that all the newer games from www.teagames.com are being made with flash 8, I can only use FF at work.
Here is the problem. The game TG motocross plays at an incredibly LOW speed. The timer takes 2.5 second for 1 second to go by. At home it plays normal, or REALLY fast compared to FF at work.
TONIGHT something weird happened, and I was able to play TG motocross at work on FF at FULL SPEED. I have not changed anything. I start looking at what i have done differently tonight.
What I found is I had a set of 5 Tabbed firefox windows open for about 10 hrs prior to this game working properly. Once they were closed, the game reverted to the same slow speed.
I did note that when the game is playing FAST, and the tabbed windows were open FF was using ~103,000k Mem at 92% system usage while playing the game.
Yet when the game is running slow it only uses about 40%-65% of the system usage.
IM boggled! I dont know whats going on!
This is a bare bones system. Winxp, 2.8ghz, 512mb ram, nvidia Quadro NVS
