Apparently some "uninvited guest" has made it's way onto your system there. That's sounds more like a virus or trojan. You may as well start running programs like AVG and Spyware Terminator as well as Ad-Aware and others to perform a good sweep of the system.

Another tool used here for spotting new registry entries is more for the advanced user since the main window will display all non MS programs and "other" main keys. That would be RegCleaner found at http://www.dewassoc.com/support/useful/regcleaner.htm

Once installed simply look at the first entry at the top to see if "new" is seen on the right column next to the entry. When going to tvguide.com the IE icon suddenly changed to what? TV Guide's own! Something like sw..rware was then seen with new at the end. I simply checked that off and clicked the remove button at the bottom next to the exit to say good bye to that fast!

Most will point a need to download and install HiJack This and post a log in the security section. http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php But there's also a few free online system scanners you can try like House Call found at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

That's certainly a very unusual one for sure there. Most will simplly point at IE as being the one that draws in all the bugs as they go on to explain why they prefer FF. Now someone has a bug for that too?! It was only a matter of time anyways.

Very unsual. Firefox is much secured browser, Dont know where it came from.

yess......now a days IE no longer seperate program, its already inside XP...(isn't rite bro??)hehe....because i can't get that IE inside add n remove program....so i think IE already installed during XP installation...btw bro...may i know how to remove IE from my pc?

In XP you simply go into the add/remove Windows components section of the add/remove programs found in the control panel to see it removed there. Vistta no longer sees that section where you can customize Windows in the new Programs + Features as seen from 95 up. That kind of makes life miserable.

The thing I hate about FireFox is being limited to the Google toolbar. I have to keep unchecking that item or the Crawler toolbar whenever going to install a new program. But I still have it installed here a backup browser along with Thunderbird in case something knocks out IE 7 and OE.

The one thing I don't care for in IE 7 as well as FireFox is tabbed browsing. That becomes an annoyance when you bump a key on the keyboard and a new window pops up without warning right in the middle of something.

broo...tq for all advice....i solve d'problem...i got the answer from other forum....my pc infected by W32.USBWorm, its a kind a amatour virus....which come from usb drive...i just download this app from this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/ProcessExplorer.mspx

extract it to drive and run it .

goto view->select columns , (select) image path, click ok .

In the column named "path" look for heaps64 or heaps41 or heaps .

note down the path , open the path in explorer.

now kill the process by right clicking -> kill process.

delete the heaps folder.

if you are not able to delete.

download this http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/unlocker1.8.5.exe

install it .

now right click on the target folder (heaps*** )-> unlock -> delete

If you can't see a folder starting with "heap" or "heaps" or "heap41a" or "heaps64", never mind... just try open your MyComputer in "Explore" mode and type "C:/heap41a" or "C:/heaps64" and it is very likely that the folder will be listed in the Explorer pane on left. Just delete the folder and your PC is clean now.

tq broo...

Another tool that surprisingly works in XP as well as Vista is the TakeOwnership utility found at http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/wind...ership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

What that does is add the takeownership option into the right click menu making things easier to remove any folder once you override it's properties once you know where and what is. Sometimes you get leftover folders from programs installed that are hard to remove. You should run an online system scanner like House Call however to see if anything is lingering around on the drive there. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
