Firefox running 4 or 5 times

Ok so my sister logs into her account and it is soo laggy - When she tries to browse internet and play itunes the system completly locks up. So i took a look and saw that on a restart firefox is running 4 or 5 times. It isnt even set up in msconfig - anyone know what to do as it uses 100 % of the CPU according to task manager and she cant use her account however my accountant is superb.

When you start Firefox 4-5 firefox's are on????

Run some antivirus. Try SUPERAntiSpyware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Sounds like some malware hijacked firefox.

No as in 4 or 5 firefox .exe show in task manager. ill try spyware later on

If 4-5 then end some.. otherwise get Avast, Stinger , Spybot, spyware blaster.

I do but they come back and after every restart

Those are most likely not related to Firefox (other than how you acquired this problem), but just malware with the same. I would run a few different AS and AV programs and run Hijackthis.
