Firefox to star tusing adds in the Firefox web browser

I use Pale Moon but still have Firefox and those tiles don't bother me.
Actually it isn't all that bad since most of the time one of those tiles is where I want to go.

Actually it looks like they are trying to copy chrome. And as far as I know you can either set up a start page or an actual home page with chrome. Just did a laptop where the client wanted all the boxes back on his page so I had to look in the options and enabled the start page again.

The page boxes on a new tab are nothing new. They're going to start displaying ADS in the new tabs.

As far as PaleMoon goes, I feel that's a Firefox feature Moonchild will pull.

Chrome got the tiles from Opera, I remember when Opera would innovate so much on the browser and today it feels so much like a clone.

Firefox needs to be careful with doing adds though, currently Firefox is the number one web browser to ship on Linux desktops. Many Linux desktops may not like this and switch the default browser being shipped to Chromium or maybe Midori.

If they implement ads that's it for me,Il switch to an alternative.

Who wants ads seriously,We watch the TV..full of ads,Listen to the radio..full of ads,Even just driving around places..ads EVERYWHERE and now they want to put ads on my favorite web browser too..no thanks.

Yeah, not only are they putting ads there, but the Australis theme is an obvious ripoff of Chrome. It's painful.

Here's the thing though: Those tiles are just defaults from what I've seen. Once you start browsing and have a history built up, they will change to your most visited sites. They're just another way for Mozilla to make money besides using Google as the default web browser. If they don't change, and they really are ads that stay there, then I'm very eager to see Mozilla's downfall. All they've been doing since Firefox 4 is copy Opera (before it turned into a Chrome clone), then Chrome.

Pale Moon

I switched to Pale Moon and won't go back. I never had the tiles file up with anything because, A) I use private browsing mode and B) I was clearing cache, cookies and history on exit. Currently I disable the cache altogether.

I don't even use the tiles on the new tab either. I use Stylish and have a nice Firefox logo as my about:blank page background.
