Fireworks or Illustrator?

So, I was able to get a copy of both Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Illustrator from a friend, and I was wondering which one I should spend more time learning. I've worked with Fireworks a little more then Illustrator, but I'm not sure which would be more useful and have more features.

I'm aminly doing web art, and a little bit of graphic design.

Fireworks, it's more for graphic design, that kind of stuff... Illustrator is for like, comics and stuff like that.
