First Build- Flickering Screen Problem

Hi guys and girls, I just built my desktop, everything went smoothly except I have flickering screen. The flickering can only be seen under certain color like gray or black. At first, I thought it might be the graphic card problem , so I switched my Nvidia 9400GT with Nvidia 8000 series. But the flickering is there .Since this didnt help, I switched my monitor but flickering is still there. One thing I notice is that when I power on the desktop (Gigabyte Picture), there is already flickering screen. So I am really not sure what is the problem.

If I try to play game like Call of Duty 4, I can play for a while but all of sudden the flickering gets really bad and I cant even control the pc and need to reboot.

My desktop:
-Gigabyte p55m UD2
-IntelCore I3 530
-4 GB Ram
-Samsung 500 GB SATA II Hard Drive
-Cosair 430 Watt
-MSI Nvidia 9400 GT 512mb

Was this an issue with your previous computer? Seeing that you replaced the video card and monitor and still had the issue, it seems like it could be an issue with another desktop component. How are the temps of your processor and so forth? Are all the fans working on the case? Do you have both power cables plugged into the motherboard?

Thanks Omega for your help. This was never an issue for my previous computer. All of the parts are brand new. Due to this flickering issue, I kept taking out my old computer's parts and replacing it with the new desktop but none doesnt seems to fix it. My cpu temp is 21 C when I first boot up, after I open virtual machine, it will be 24 C. I have 2 fans and all of them are working fine. Both of the cables are plugged into the motherboard. I was wondering , can the PSU be the problem here? But I read from Nividia's website, Nividia 9400GT only required minimum of 250 Watts. And I have 430 watt PSU, which is enough.

I'd start checking the monitor's power cable and the VGA/DVI/HDMI cable connections to and from the monitor/graphics card, as loose cables can cause issues.

Also, if applicable, install your monitor's drivers from cd and set the highest refresh rate it allows you to and hit apply.

Also update your nvidia drivers from www.nvidia.com
