I've been working on this computer for about a week now. I'm going to use this computer for multimedia, gaming, and web surfing. If you know about a different parts that are around the same price and are better please leave a link(preferably using newegg.com). I do not know if all of the parts are compatible, but if they aren't please tell me. The only part I need now is a power supply unit. I want one that is a little more than I need just in case.

^^ Looks good to me except the price on the Antec 900. How much of a budget for mouse and speakers?

Look up the Logitech G7 or G5 mouse. As for the speakers look at the Logitech z-5500 or G51.

1. what was wrong with the Antec 900 price(too high?)
2. mouse needs to be optical, preferably wireless
3. speakers don't know what i'm going to do about speakers yet

Yeah, for some reason Newegg put the price of the A900 back up...It should be around 80-90, but you can get the NZXT version for $100 after MIR, some say it's better, some say it's not. I think they are pretty much the same

Here's a link if you want to check it out :): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146047

Mouse, The G5 is great, as well as the Razor's, like the Copperhead

everything else looks pretty decent (I would go with the G-Skill RAM though)

If your doing a AMD system at this point, drop the X2 6400. Outdated 90 nm., runs hot and uses alot of volts and watts for a dual core. Plus its being discontinued if it has not already been. AMD is going to stop all 90 nm. production. Go ahead and drop 65 more buck down and get a Phenom 9750.

Core 2 E7200 performs better than 6400+, cheaper and it consume less power

Check this review

If you decide to go with Intel then get this E7200 and this motherboard

And get 9600GSO instead of HD2600XT, because it performs much better

After 7 entirely different threads all about exactly the same thing, you would think one could have a decent build list by now Captain.

I have a solution for your kind: Get a Dell.

A dell may fit :P, i would suggest a dell for those that want something cheap and dont need the technical support.

And you cant just make a build list, not everyone wants the same things and you will tend to get different answers when you ask what you should get for your computer.

But back to the thread, everything looks pretty good to me.
