OK than, for xmas, or hopefully sooner i should be getting a new computer and intended to build it myself, but i have basically no experience in this.
Edit: Damm, it didn;t submit everything
Anyway, does anyone have any reccomendations for a good computer for around £700, including a decent 17 inch tft monitor?
I will be building this myself, and if possible could you please show me parts availiblte on dabs.co.uk, as that is where it is easier for me to purchase them from.

I will be using it for light gaming, video editing and web design, and willl need it to be capable of running Macromedia flash, fireworks dreamweaver, MSN and firefox all at the same time and without aany large delays. Also i would like a tv tuner card :)

So does anyone have any computers that would work, and please remember that this would need to include absolutely everything preferably within £700, even the case and cables:D

Thanks in advance,
Lee:D

EDIT: [again...] i forgot to say i would not need to include the OS within the £700 budget

i recommend a P4 processor and a decent video card if youre only doing light gaming. but AMD will be fine if the P4 doesnt fit in your budget. also I would get at least 1 gig of ram if u can.

It is around $1300, i have looked around a bit and come up with the following specs:

DiamondMax Plus10 200GB U133: £60
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ socket 939 512kb inc. Fan: £170
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 Socket 939 nForce 4-4X PCI-E ATX: £67
Corsair Memory VS1GB400C3 PC3200 1GB CAS3: £82
Sony DDU1615B DVD-ROM 16x OEM Black: £15
AOpen QF50A MidiTower ATX 300W Black: £35
Acer 17" Acer AL1716S 8ms LCD TFT: £160
GeForce 6200 256/64MB Turbo Cache PCI-E DVI-I VO: £35
Total: £662.50 posted

Then at a later date, maybe xmas? my parents would buy me the following:

Another Acer 17" Acer AL1716S 8ms LCD TFT: £160
XP Pro + SP2
A DVD rewriter
And anything else that needs upgrading :)

Would that all work, and is there anything you would reccomend upgrading?

I'd like to buy a great video card but i don't have the money, and i can;t really see the use as i never use my computer for playing the latest games anyway, so it would probably be a total waste of money for me, but i probably will get a better graphics card in the end
