It really depends on what BIOS you have and how your MOBO is set up. Some people have to go into their BIOS and program quite a lot, like the processor speed, others have jumpers for that on the MOBO. My MOBO kind of detected the processor speed and I didn't really have to do much with the BIOS at all. You should have a manual with the motherboard, look at that. It will tell you what each option in the BIOS does. I wouldn't try to overclock or anything, just set the processor speed, ram, and boot drive order and then exit the BIOS to start with. You can play with setting later.
