First Computer Build General Assistance Needs

I have a K8N NEO4 MSI Mobo
and Asus DVD Drive

This is a first self build. Never did it with any modern stuff.
Can't find the cable for the audio to mobo for the dvd drive
2 of them.
Do we need a cable beyond power supply, ide ribbon cable?
It says we need another cable to attach to mobo that is audio 4 pin?

to connect the DVD player to the motherboard, connect the IDE cable (big flat one) from the motherboard to the DVD Drive and the power cable from your PSU (4 pin molex) to the DVD drive. Set the jumper settings master or slave.
 
you can connect an audio from the dvd drive if you want but there is generally no need unless you plan to plug speakers or headphones in via the front port on the dvd drive. Otherwise its fine without it and sound will be processed via the ribbon cable and out through you sound card or onboard sound
 
Ok computer put together. Everything is installed in the correct places and power turns on the monitor and the computer, This is the first time I turned it on. No drivers or anything installed yet. The monitor doesn't show a picture but it does show the LED light. Turned it off and turned it back on again, a red light showed in the front and it beeped, but there was still no picture. Have never done this before, haven't called any computer builders yet will do, but seeing what info I can get out of the forum thanks.
