For those old games that should be fine. For normle use that should be fine. just one recomendation spend a extra $4 and get a good brand name motherboard.http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-128-259&depa=1

also dont expect good performance on new games with that video card.

I notice "case" is the first thing on your list ... perhaps you might want to put it last on the list :) Moving on...

1. With the CPU, there are 2800s out there that dont ship with a heatspreader (which generically translates to bad); make sure yours has a heatspreader

2. For a few bucks more you can get a GB mobo which generally speaking is a better board: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-128-259&depa=1

3. For $2 more you can get slightly better RAM :) http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-211-119&depa=1

+3.3V@30A, +5V@40A, +12V@18A, -5V@1A, -12V@1A, [email protected]
4. You should definitely consider looking for a PSU with more current support on thr 12V rail, here's a pretty nice one for not all that much more http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-189-002&depa=0

Not sure if my adjustments bring it above $600 but if it does you should consider getting a Sempron3100 (Socket754) which might be enough to trim it down

(and there's no need to bump in less than one day :), someone will get to it)

LOL if you looked you would of sure that the same motherboard I already recomend him to change to in a earlier post
I avoid newegg whenever I can :p (hence i often dont follow newegg links as it allows)

look good except I am not sure I would trust the PSU that comes with that case. consider buying a PSU seperately. I think praetor already gave a example of a decent psu.

ok I would do this instead

nforce4 msi motherboard $90
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-130-491&depa=1
then you need a pci-e video card so get the pci-e version of the 9600pro which is called a x600 pro $98
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-142-040&depa=1

these two things averages out to be the exact same price of the mobo/video card combination you did.

This would be better because
A) nforce4 is a better chipset.
B) pci-e better for future upgrades.

how come?
1. IMO website takes too damn long to load :p
2. For me im usually quite familiar with specific hardware so I find that its easier if people say "MSI K8N Neo3 Platinum" rather than give me a link for it ... but thats just me :)

1. For $11 more you can step up the mobo an entire class, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-130-470&depa=0

2. Nice job on the video card :)

With NF4PCIe youll want to ensure your PSU is up to the task
