Well I was asking about the GTX 670 and 680, as the price difference is large between the two. The 7970 is only about 12 percent better over the 670.
 
+1 for the tx 650m. partialy modualr (which is fine since the wires that are connected permanantly to the unit are cables you will have to use anyways). and its a solid psu, for a bit cheaper.

as for the 670 vs the 680. well its more like the 680 is 10% faster than the 670. but the 680 cost 27% more than the 670. why pay 27% more for 10% more performance. the ratio just dont make it value smart at all. the 670 i have runs everything no problem. everything is butter smooth, and if only i had a 120hz monitor, it would be even better because i know that this card can push out the frame rate needed for 120hz.

save $100 by going with the 670, and save a bit more by going with the corsair over the seasonic, and put it else where in your system, or save it. deffinatly go with the gigabyte ud3 or higher motherboard. with the money saved between the video card and psu, you could grab a ud5h, G1 sniper m3, or a ud4h, or up4.

either one is fine. They have the same expansion as far as GPUs are concerned. The sniper has better audio. just pick whichever you want and run with it.
 
personaly, id go for the ud5h, only cuz i like the looks of it better. you may wabt to change your ram to better match the motherboard you choose to get (color wise). if looks arnt so important, then what you chose is fine. you may look into the tx 650 "m" version of that psu. gives you partial modular on it. other than that...looks great.
 
The colors aren't really important to me, so I'll probably go with the sniper motherboard, just because it's a bit cheaper. I'm not going to buy it all quite yet. I'm going to shop around and see if I can get any decent deals over the course of the next few weeks. When I finally get everything and build it, I'll put up a few pictures. So, if you guys see any deals on any of this stuff, that'd be awesome if you could post them here.

Also, a UD3H is fine if you want lower cost. Every thing looks great though. And try to get the TX 650M for modular.
 
you can get the tx 650m right now for under $100. more like $96, which is only $6 more than the non modular tx 650 which you were going to get....you should grab it. BUT, often, they sell that seasonic 750 watt fully modular psu for $100....its the x series...keep an eye on it.
 
Yeah, I think I'm going to hold off a bit and see if I can get a better deal. PSU's seem to go on sale quite often.
 
Alright, so far I've got a NZXT phantom enthusiast with two extra fans, a Sapphire HD 7950, and a corsair tx850m, for a total of $390.67. I was going to go with the Geforce 670, but I found a good deal for the HD 7950 on tigerdirect.
