Hi
Now i have my new motherboard ive got down to overclocking it, the most i could overclock by just changing the fsb was from my original clock of 3.0 to 3.1ghz which wernt really worth it, so i had to change the memory speed down for me to be able to up the fsb more, right now its running at 3.3ghz but the memory is only running at 2900 when before it was 3200, my question is was it better at 3.0 with memory running at 3200 or is it better at 3.3ghz with the memory just running at 2900, also why did i actually have to reduce the memory speed in the first place? is it cause i have crap memory (A-Data) 2x512mb DDR ram sticks. Ive read the 101 btw, im still confused though, is there anything else i can try instead of lowering the memory, my specs are below
asus p5gdc deluxe motherboard
pentium 4 530 3.0ghz lga775
2x512mb A-Data ddr ram
temps running at 38c idle
radeon x300e pci-ex 16 graphics card
Cheers
