First Gaming PC Build - Please Help

So ive done a bit of searching around and reading about some other builds for a gaming PC and I have put together what I think (first time doing this) will be a solid gaming rig for new games like Diablo 3 and current games like MW3,BF3 and Skyrim, assuming I want to run these games to their maximum potential and performance using AMD's Eyefinity can people please tell me if this build is both compatible and capable of doing what I want. Any suggestions are welcomed but please keep in mind this is the first time ive done something like this.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Radeon HD 6950 1GB x2 ( I was told to Crossfire 2 of these?)
WD 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"
Lite-On IHES208-08 Blu-Ray Combo (Figured a combo over a drive for each of the CD-ROM and Blu Ray)
Antec Three Hundred Illusion ATX Mid Tower
Corsair HX850W 850w

Could really use input from some vets who have experiece.

where are you looking to get this from? there are some things you could prob do a little better on but looks good.
 
Ill be getting this from either NewEgg or from TigerDirect as there is one near me. id like to keep it around the $2000 mark but any changes are welcomed. I also read something about water cooling or Fan cooling, is there a serious difference and is it needed??
 
it is needed for overclocking, making the cpu run faster than it is meant to, and watercooling is a good bit better with the upper end ones but those run around 100, and the ones around 60 do pretty well apparently. and i would recomend something more like this going by what you picked out, but with that budget i'd say to grab a better case. also i'd say to pick up 1 6970 for now cuz the hd 7000 series is coming out next month i think and the upper and cards early next year or something, along with the gtx600's early next year.
