The time has come for me/family to get a laptop. I have computer experiacen but do not know much about laptops or wi-fi. What I'm looking for in a laptop is a general work computer, no gaming. I want a screen between 15 and 17 inches. anything greater than 17 is too big. I would like a standar keyboard. It needs to have DVD/CD read and at least CD burn. Those I think I handle looking up info but as for laptop ram and CPu's and wifi i have no idea. I also want to get a laptop that will becompatable with ubuntu 7.04. I found a site that lists varous manufactules and there modles with ubuntu compatablity but there are way too many laptops there for me to got thru.

I think I have the perfect laptop for you, Office, Internet, that kind of thing. Will play games, but not suited to that. I've got some photos, the site link and the specs here. Basically, it should surf the net, write up reports etc. It has wireless internet access, if you do, and if not, a built in modem.
