First Laptop Is This Possible?

I'm looking to buy my first laptop for college and for gaming, I play WoW and am in a very intensive raiding guild and I used to play Cal counter strike and sometimes scrim so I cant have it lagging on me. I want a Dual Core for sure, 2G RAM, a directx 10 compatible graphics card, 14.1 inch screen is completely fine with me, 100 or more GB Hard Drive, DVDRW would be nice and Vista. I saw some Thinkpads which look very nice but I don't think they are very oriented towards gaming. My problem is I want all this stuff for somewhere around $1500 and I have no idea if thats possible on a laptop considering I know nothing about them. Any help would be really really appreciated.

try look into places that offer student discounts like apple,hp and dell.

The computer in my sig was 1286 and it has everything you said, plus bluetooth.

Where did you get that, I went to dell and couldn't find any laptops that had anything near a 8600 GT 256mb.
