ORIGIN computers?? never heard of

What budget? What use? Any particular screen size?
Why don't you get another desktop? easier to upgrade...

http://www.originpc.com/?gclid=CILBybTrtKMCFQoLbAodnlfgWw well thats origins website...

well that computer is around 2000 bucks so im thinkin that might be the budget. i personally like really big laptop screens (thats why he wants theqosmio which is 18.4 inches...)

but my dad doesnt really want to get another desktop because with a laptop you can use it anywhere in the house. plus, if we had homework we could use it in our room and not keep my parents up while using the desktop. (the one we have now is in my parents room)

and it would be nice you play some of the latest games on it too... like the new medal of honor game or the new need for speed hot pursuit game etc etc...

I own a Sager laptop and love it. I have had it for about 3.5 years now and it still runs smooth as silk. Very well built machines...I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This is what I would do :D

Sager NP8760 for about $1700
17.3" Full HD LED Display with Super Glossy Surface (1920 x 1080)
Intel® Core™ i7-740QM Processor (Quad Core)
ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5870
4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module

so they are reliable? just like toshibas? because my dad wants one to last... we have three family members that have toshiba laptops and they all havent broken yet (its been like two years)

would that rig pump out the graphics? and does it have a HDMI out? or even a HDMI in?

EDIT

plus my dad is suuuuper picky about dead pixles... will it have any?

bump...

also, just yesterday someone reccomened me a thinkpad laptop... he claims "that these are more realiable than toshibas and most computer innovations came from them" he also said, "these are very solidly built and last a very long time... ive had mine for three years and still working like new"

should i take his adviise and go for a thinkpad? their computers look really nice... what are your guyses thoughts on them?

Personally I don't really like Toshibas and I haven't heard anything about them being incredibly reliable either. And yes, IBM Thinkpads are very professional and reliable laptops. They look rather bland though - don't know if your dad cares.

No mention of Asus suprising . Asus in my experience are the most reliable laptops in the world down to their 3 year world wide warranty on parts and anything that goes wrong with the laptop they look stylish and come with the latest i* processors from intel and also Ati Radeon HD video cards. If the Op were me I would atleast look at them before purchasing elsewhere.
