First Notebook

Hi I have a desktop but will be needing a laptop for school. I have no idea what is good and what to look for. It would be nice to play some games on it but I do have a desktop for that.

Is this a good starter laptop and a good website to buy from?
 
the laptop you linked us, the video card will let you play games pretty well that were made in the year 2005-2006. :P but if you're not worried about game performance and word processing and internet surfting is the most important, you're set.

what is your maximum budget so we can work around that and find the right laptop for you.
 
My maximum is pretty much 800. I live in the US and I care mostly about word processing and Internet with a little CS:S or HL2.
