First Post! Need Help!!

Hey I just recently joined the forum, and I needed to find out if this ever happened to anyone or knows what I should do. Heres the story, I have a HP Laptop that has a mouse hooked up to it through a USB port because I dont really like to use the laptop mouse pad thing when I am home. So anyways, I go to use my laptop and my screen saver is on, so i go to move the mouse and it shocks me a little and about 2 seconds later my laptop turns off and now it wont turn on no matter what i do, has this ever happened to anyone else? What should i do, I have had it for 2 years and the warranty is up.

Unfortunately, it sounds like a power surge... Take it to a local repair shop, and they should be able to run some power tests on the laptop. Sorry for the bad news, but that seems like what's going on.
