First time builder. 2x 4gb Location pic question

So its my first time building, my parts are not here yet but I am going ahead and reading an online manual about it.

One thing that I am wondering is ram location. I see builders (when using only 2 ram sticks, and a 4 mem slot board) always putting 1 in and the other one 2 sots away

from what I can tell my manual shows 3 ways for dual channel memory.

I am assuming this is Priority 1? (pic of my Mobo's ram slots with yellow circles indicating where I think Priority 1 is)

Now if I am correct on where the ram shows to go from the pic of my Mobos manual. Priority 1 is what I should be going for when installing my 2 sticks?

I'm sure this is extremely noobish. But I am just wanting to confirm everything so all is crystal clear when I get to building, Thanks

It really doesn't matter which one of the first 2 you use if you are only using 2 sticks. Personally, I always use the first and third slot unless I have a heatsink that won't let the first slot be used.
