So this computer is going to be used for doing regular stuff along with gaming and some music/video editing.
I was just wondering if this was a build that was compatible with each other and if there was a better price/performance ratio.

Just looking very quickly over it, it all looks like good stuff to me. Firstly though, I'd consider dropping the GTX 560 and going for a Radeon 6870 (it's a bit faster in the games), or spend the extra and get a GTX 560 Ti if you can afford it. You probably want the NVIDIA card for CUDA don't you if you're video editing? What video editing software do you use? They don't all support CUDA.

I'd go for the ASUS P8Z68-V board you mentioned over the Intel one. I like ASUS boards, I know not everybody here does, but if you don't want an ASUS, the ASRock Z77 Extreme Gen3 is also meant to be very good too, and Gigabyte make some nice Z77 boards too. :)

Other than that, yes it all looks pretty good. :)
