First time OC both CPU & Video

Well I was having problems with CS and thought lets try to OC both and get the numbers up. I have AMD 2600+ and a PNY 6600 GFX. I took the CPU up to 11.5X multi, 145, and the vore to 1.7. That puts me at 1.67 ghz with a CPU temp of 52C and loaded was around 59C. Using Everest Home Edition.

GFX I used a rivatuner and moved the gfx from 300/500 to 315/510. A GPU of 60C and loaded around 70C.

Wife thinks I am dumb and I am going to ruin the computer. However CS ran over an hour with no problems. AVG FPS was around 40 now. Peaks around mid 50's.

What do you guys think? Temp okay?

What was the stock vcore? Your temps are normal. I would go higher on the card. It should give you alot more room than that for ocing, just keep you temps at around 80 max on the gfx and you should be good.

It is stable but the stock voltage is only 1.675. Should I just bump it back down to keep the cpu from getting to much voltage?

No that's fine man, I think other poster is thinking of Intel's were they are stock at 1.2v or so. The voltage bump is fine man. On my computer stock is 1.23 and I bumped it up to 1.47 for everyday use. I would think a +.2 would be safe but I dont want to tell you any higher in risk of damaging your CPU. I just don't know the specifics of your chip and what it could do.

Well I bumped it back down to 1.65 volts and 140 11.5X. Still gives me a decent 1.61 ghz machine for being 4 yrs old. If CS works and it is stable I should be happy for now.
