Hey everyone, my wife and myself are looking at purchasing our first laptop (toshiba A6556 ?) we feel that it's perfect for our budget range. We like they way it looks aswell. The sales rep at best buy mentioned that they see slot of Dell and HP's come for repairs more than anything (hence why we went with toshiba, is there any truth to it?)

Anyhow my main questions concern the bundle "offer" they offer for an extra $100

They offer a "clean up" that removes all the trial period programs (my question: can I do this myself? If so how ?)

The package comes with a 1year antivirus (I've always had issues with norton and macfee). Do I need these antivirus or is there a better program I should look for?

The package also include a "restore" cd. Can I make one for myself or is it something they can only do?

Anything else you guys suggest? Sorry I'm asking some repetitive questions. I can't search very well on our iPhone 3G service (our original comp is super slow and we have no Internet).

Please post any links that might help, thank you soo much for your time.

All these can be done by yourself

1. you can uninstall programme yourself
2. get your dvd/cd ready before you run the first start. laptop nowadays usually ask you to make the restore cd on first run.
3. there are plenty of free anti-virus. I don't see the need to pay for that.
