First time with SSD

Im gonna buy a laptop pretty soon but Im kinda struggling about this memory issue. Should I go for a pure SSD or some hybrid HDD+SSD? I don't think I ever used more then 350GB of HDD in any computer of mine.
Example: 1TB HDD+32GB SSD or 512GB SSD?

What about RAM. Is 18GB enough or should I go for 32GB?
ps: I'm looking for a pretty fast new laptop(can spend about US$2.000)

Thanks for your time guys!

Why the hell would you need 18GB of RAM? The standard these days is still only 6-8GB.

As for an SSD, get a full on SSD. 512GB Should be fine if you use more than 256GB of space.

I'd go with 512 GB SSD, 32 (~29.8 GiB) really isn't enough for an OS drive when Windows takes up over 20 GiB by itself.

RAM figures are useless without knowing how you use your PC.

Primary tasks
-Lots of movies and videos(youtube, netflix and other online movie websites),
-Lots of internet(multiple windows and tabs open at the same time);
-Some simulation programs(autocad, arena, etc);
-Some presentations and university works;
-Some video editing(go pro videos 1h long);
-Some downloads.

18GB is probably still a bit excessive, but you can still get it if you like. You won't need 32GB. As for your build, SSDs are better than HDDs so if you can afford to use solely SSDs and still have enough storage space then that would be preferred.

I would also go with the 512GB SSD, you can always use an external USB drive for more storage. I would go with 16GB of RAM, video and photo editing consumes a LOT of RAM.

Editing a large number of photos in CS6 at once consumes a lot:
