Fix an LCD?

Is there any way to fix the dark spots on LCD monitors? Like this one:

Something tells me that there is no way to fix those, but does anybody know how?

These instructions will fix "stuck" pixels, not "dead" ones. Dead pixels appear black while stuck pixels can be one constant color like red, blue or green.

That is interesting, but no, they aren't dead pixels. It is just a darkish spot. I have seen this on many monitors, but do you know if there is any fix?

I have never seen anything like that on a LCD before, I have seen it causes by magetic things on a CRT before that many times wont go away, and a drill with a wood bit will normally do the trick(Dont actually touch the monitor of coarse, just get near it and let it spin fast and move it around the screen) most are magetic but not all.... I doubt the trick would work on a LCD though...

Well no, cause an LCD doesn't use the same things that a CRT does, and isn't affected by magnetic fields.

I believe what is shown in the picture is caused by putting too much pressure on the LCD. I don't know of any way to fix it except to take it to a professional.

It isn't mine, I was looking into buying a cheap monitor off of Ebay, and just wondering if there was any fix for that.
