Fixing LCD's

Wonder if anyone could give me insight about this topic? I've recently came across 2 monitors. A Fuji Plus and a KDS Radius. Radius has a cracked screen ($50, about to order), and the Fuji has 5 leaking/bulging capacitors.

Was wondering if anyone could give me symptoms of a bad inverter?

Well a cracked screen can mean two things, the plastic cover of the LCD is cracked, which means the actual LCD is still intact which is possibly fixable. Worst case is the actual LCD is cracked which means you would have to just replace the LCD and in that case its usually better to just buy a new monitor. leaking/bulging capacitors are never good because that means failure is imminent. I'm not sure about inverters, I've never had one go out on me yet and they usually don't give much indication of their condition, I would think that if it is bad, there wouldn't be enough power to sufficiently supply your device. I guess you could just hook it up and leave your monitor on for a few hours and let the inverter warm itself up, if nothing happens, it would seem to me that it is workable.
