flash? update Bios?

the easiest way to do it is to go to your motherboard manufacturer, or PC manufacturer if its a Dell or Gateway etc..and find a BIOS update file, which should be in a .exe format, then make a bootable floppy disk(start-up disk) and then put the BIOS update file on there as well, restart the PC, set it to boot from floppy in the BIOS, then run the BIOS update file from the command prompt, do NOT turn your computer off while its updating under any circumstances, and pray to the electricity gods that you dont lose power:) good luck

I'd suggest you find the instructions for flashing your bios... you can often fine one where you download your bios. Also it should be in your motherboards manual if you have that. Make sure these are printed on paper for reference while you are flashing.

It can be a risky event flashing the bios but if done properly then there really is no cause for concern.

Also look for a utility that'll flash the bios within windows but don't use any third party apps, make sure if you find and use one that it's by the same manufacturer of your mobo.
