Flashing your BIOS

Hi,
I have a pacakard bell with a Northwood P4 2.5GHz CPU and I want an overclock!
I have tried;

1. Soft FSB, SpeedFan etc but none support my mobo

2. Going into the BIOS but everything is locked down etc

3. Haven't got a new mobo with a new overclockable bios, mainly because it is too expensive and is probably worth more than the machine.

I thought it was all over but then however it was suggested to me that I "flashed my bios" or got a flash bios.

Has anyone had any experiences with this or could recomend a flash bios etc to overclock this machine?

Thanks

I dont think you can overclock on that, because it is a pre-built by a company. They lock the ability to OC.

So is there nothing I can do to overclock that machine unless I fiddle around with the mobo?

Grrr looking for an option to overclock that cpu in that set up for under £50.

Any suggestions would be welcome

dont try to flash your bios cuz you'll only screw up your PC, it wont work, u would have to replace the BIOS chip which is very hard on some motherboard

EDIT: there is a program called CPUFSB, with it u can overclock your system in Windows but when u reboot the computer it will change to default state

you need to enter the mobo manufacturer and mobo type, find the PLL manufacturer and PLL type (it should be somewhere on your mobo, on small chip it says the PLL manufacturer and type)
