Flicker

My Fujitsu-Siemens C771S monitor flickers a lot (gives me headache!), so I changed the refresh rate from 60Hz to 85Hz. The problem is that the monitor still displays the screen at 60Hz, even though in the XP settings it's 85. I have ATI radeon 9200SE and the resolution is 1024x768 at the moment. Any suggestions?

Video card could possibly be going bad or also could be your monitor. My suggestion is to borrow somones monitor and try it out and see if you still have the problem. If you do then find a trusting friend and borrow their video card. Let me know if problem still exists after this and I'll help you some more.
