Flickers and restarts

I wasent really sure where to place this thread due to me not knowing what the problem is. haha but

Lately my computer has been flickering and just restarting its self uncontrollably. it has never done this before and i dont understand why it started. Also i have checked my power supply and it is doing everything its supposed to fine, and also i whiped my hard drive clean and started over and reinstalled windows xp and it still remains. another thing i found is if i lower my hardware acceleration to the lowest it stops.

my specs from what i can remember off the top of my head is

processor is 1.33 ghz
Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X
512 MBs of RAM.

if you have anymore quesitons on my specs i can get them for you.

You have a very old computer... If you can, i'd recommend just buying a new one.

Option 2 is to replace the graphics card, which is fairly easy.

Option 3 is to build a new computer. (we can help you with this)
 
Trust me, if i could, i would definatly buy a new computer or relace the video card. but i dont have enough money.. haha.

so im wondering if youd be able to help me find out what the problem is (if its the video card or not) and help me fix it.
