here are the system requirements for microsoft flight simulator 2004 given by amazon.com. i thought you had to practically have a supercomputer to run mfs? if you have it, please let me know if these figures are correct.

# Windows 98/2000/XP/Me
# Pentium 450 or greater processor
# 64 MB RAM for 98/Me; 128 MB RAM for 2000/XP
# 8 MB/3-D with DirectX 7.0 or later videocard
# 1.8 GB hard drive space
# Joystick/yoke, soundcard, speakers/headphones
# 56.6 kbps modem or LAN required for online play

Hey

I do not own it, yet as with many games, companies give you minimum requirements. These will make the game playable at very low quality settings and at a very low resolution. Obviously in order to play it at its best potential, you will need much more than that. My PC specs would not be enough to run it at full settings anyway. What do you have?

From Flightsimaviation:
minimum recommendation to run FS2004 well is this... :-)
- Windows XP or 2000
- 512 MB RAM
- Processor: P4 1.5 GHz (or higher!)
- Available HD space: 10 GB +
- DirectX 9 or later (included on CD)
- 3D graphics card: 64 MB, preferably 128 MB
- Flightsim yoke or joystick
- Broadband connection (only for online flying)

The mimimum setup that you mentioned would barely run FS2002 ;)

the minimum requirements are often what will get you too the menu in flight sims, not what will produce playable results

That will run it, but it won't be enjoyable. The second list of reqs was spot on. Go to surclaro.com forums for lots of good info.
