Flooooopy Disk Drives

This may be a silly question but, Im currently building a system. And I have just enough money, to finish it. I was wondering though, is it required for your system to have a floppy drive? I'll probably put one in later but it will boot up fine and run fine without one right?

nope its not required so long as you can boot from the optical drive and unlesss its prehistoric then its likely to be able to

My PC has a floppy drive and even I don't use it anymore. Most of my floppies now have unreadable data for some reason...

i use it to load raid drivers and flash bios when im too lazy to do it the modern way
