folders all readonly?

All of my folder in my hardrive have been set to Readonly...But when I unselect it...It just goes back to Readonly after I close and reopen the window.

what caused this and how can I fix it. Thanks for any help!

The first thing to check is if spy/ad/malware or a virus is to blame.

Grisoft's AVG 7.1 Free edition, http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 and a few others that could be advised look over the two MS links to see if those tips will correct this.
