How ever many ports the router has... in other words: 4 port router, 4 computers; 8 port router, 8 computers... plus you can daisy chain routers as long as you disable the DHCP on all of the routers except the first one...
 
it depends on the router, some may set a relatively low limit, but i think its normally 127 or 256

edit: forget the 127, thats the amount of usb deevices you can daisy chain together
