Alright, so I kind of just want to know what the exact definitions for things are, so PLEASE for my sake, post a computer term and tell me about it, this is probably the gayest post you'll ever see, but I hope you know where I'm coming from. later

hahahaha, alright, well pretty much im saying list a whole bunch of computer terms and defintions. screw wikipedia i can barely understand it, i just want people to come up with terms that are very...unknown by people who just started working on this stuff. and patrickv, yes, you are right. haha. sorry for the misunderstanding!

hahaha patrickv you are right. i kind of just want to get a whole list going of computer terms but i want to hear some unheard of terms especially for people like me who aren't very advanced ya know? and wikipedia, i cant use....i like to hear it from a person on a forum which kind of applies to what i want to know.

WOW patrickv you must be right .

VPN = virtual private network a connection method that creates a secure
connection between systems over a public network.
 
ya it should be moved... But anyways some basic terms i learned...

GPU = graphics card
PSU = Power supply unit
CPU = Central processing unit (processor)
HDD = Hard drive
OS = Operating system
Mobo (thats what i call it) = Motherboard

uhh... i donno... lol. I cant remember the exact words for each term, but close enough. =)

RAM = Random Access Memory is temporary memory that isint permentant like memory on Hard Drives. It is used to load and run applications and games. The more you have the more you can run, the standard amount to have today is about 2GB.

GB = Gigabyte which is the about of memory RAM and Hard Drives have, it is 1024MB (Megabytes). Most games use around 4GB+ now of Hard Drive memory, most hard drives have at least over 100GB now, some even up to 4000GB!
